(I can't wear back-closure, and I _won't_ wear an underwire.) As a 56-year-old plus-size woman, gravity has taken its toll (LOL), and the boning on the sides (which is minimal) is enough to push that extra flesh forward into the cup -- instant cleavage! (Something I've never had in my entire life!) The sling construction is enough to give great support. This is the only bra I've been able to find that REALLY lifts -- lifts the breasts up and off my stomach so I don't look like a shapeless mass. This bra is perfect for the pear-shaped plus-size woman (I wear a 46B).

The boning on the sides dug into my side and I ended up removing them. I don't feel the "sling" gives much support. Probably ok for a gal who isn't a plus size, but I was very disappointed.
