It easily stays in place around the hips, riding low yet not uncommfortably so. The strong elastic provides tummy support and the straps are very strong and durable. The metal stocking clips are no-nonsense, made to stay clipped and never give you any trouble. I like to wear my black garterbelt with a nice pair of black backseam hose, a matching bra, and a 5" pair of strappy sandals. It's a great look and feeling. Go for it girls!
