- Wednesday, December 26, 2007 a great "party" girdle Reviewed By: Janey (Cumberland, ME) The Cortland Hi-Waist Panty Girdle is one of the best foundation garments I have ever worn! Being a large, full-figured gal (5'11”, 185 lbs, 44DD bosom) girdles have been a part of my daily wear since junior high in the early 60's. Back then, I did not need the high waist this garment offers (the Vanity Fair Tulip was my girdle of choice). However, having a long torso and a significant “muffin top” that needs controlling, I have tried several all-in-ones. It has been difficult finding an all-in-one that fits properly. I bought this girdle several months ago along with a Bali long bra and am extremely pleased with the figure control and sexiness of the two garments combined. I also really like the “fanny lift” this garment provides.
If you want the maximum results, I suggest not wearing panty hose under this girdle. The shaping of the fanny designed in this garment is somewhat muted by panty hose. I have found regular panties and thigh-high stockings work best. If this girdle had garter tabs to wear regular stockings, it would be perfect. I also wish there was more rubber stocking gripper control under each leg opening…..the legs do have a tendency to ride up a little. At a wild birthday party several weeks ago, I ended up doing a Karaoke song with my sister and her best friend in our underwear (yes, cocktails were involved!). The other two girls were wearing panty briefs, panty hose and regular bras. Both have much better figures than me, but guess who got ALL the attention from the gents there? I swear this girdle had most guys' eyes popping out of their heads including dear hubby. I highly recommend it for any girl or guy (my husband often wears a HWLLPG too, but I will not let him near this one!) in need of total figure control and fanny shaping.

I TOO HAVE A LITTLE TUMMY PROBLEM THAT NEEDS HELP AND THE LIFTING BANDS IN THE BACK PROVIDE UPLIFT IN THE REAR AS WELL. I ALSO WISH THAT THE GIRDLE CAME WITH GARTER TABS BUT I WEAR THIGH-HI STOCKINGS WHEN I WEAR THIS GIRDLE. AS JANEY MENTIONED, DO NOT WEAR OVER PANTY HOSE AS IT NEGATES THE UPLIFT BANDS. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND ALWAYS WEAR THIS HIGH WAIST PANTY GIRDLE WITH A LONG LINE BRA...SUCH AS A GODDESS 1304 (GREAT UPLIFT, SEPERATION AND SUPPORT), THE ELILIA (SPELLING) WHICH HAS A NICE UNDERBUST BAND AND ALSO IS VERY COMFORTABLE TO WEAR. THIS GIRDLE AND BRA COMBINATION IS VERY EASY TO WEAR FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME; IT PROVIDES FIRM AND VERY CONTROLLING RESULTS YET IT IS EASY TO WEAR....YOU ALMOST DON'T WANT TO TAKE IT OFF, ITS THAT COMFORTABLE.
